Called to serve in our Parish: Join a Team
Every parish flourishes when its people bring their gifts to the community. Serving God is both a calling and a privilege.
1 Peter 4:10 says: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms". Scripture encourages us to step beyond comfort zones, respond to God’s invitation, and make a positive impact in the world. Whether your talent is welcoming others, organising events, praying with people, sing or playing an instrument or simply showing up with a smile.
By serving others, we reflect God’s love, grow spiritually, and participate in His divine plan. No act of service is too small and all service done in love honours God. It’s about building a community where faith becomes visible through action. Every ministry grows stronger when more hands and hearts are involved. It deepens our faith and connects with new people.
If you’ve ever wondered how you might contribute, these are some of the teams you can join in our parish:
Welcome & Hospitality Team — Help greet parishioners, prepare refreshments, and create a warm Sunday atmosphere.
Liturgy & Worship Team — Support readers, musicians, and those who prepare the sacred space.
Children’s Ministry — Assist with catechesis, children’s liturgy, or youth activities.
Outreach & Social Action — Join efforts supporting the lonely, or vulnerable in our community.
Events & Fundraising — Help organise parish gatherings, celebrations, and charitable events.
Maintenance & Grounds — Assist with small repairs, gardening, and keeping our parish beautiful.
How to discern your place? If you’re unsure where to begin, consider:
• What brings you joy?
• What skills or experiences do you already have?
• Where do you feel the Holy Spirit nudging you?
• What time commitment feels realistic?

Parish Launch Day- September 2026. A celebration of parish life and a chance to meet fellow volunteers and team leaders, ask questions, and sign up for roles that match your gifts.

Saturday 11 July 12 noon – 4pm
Please bring in cakes, tombola and raffle prizes and leave them in the Parish Office.
Bring cash on the day (limited card facility) and bring yourself.
